Throughout her illustrious 20+ year career, Me’Shell Ndegeocello has been an unconventional artist. From her first single, “If That’s Your Boyfriend,” through the present, she has been unafraid to tackle seemingly any subject, no matter how taboo. As of late, she has covered music that influenced her, including Prince. Her latest is a dramatic re-imagination of Whodini’s classic, “Friends.” Video surfaced on this earlier in the year, but now she has released the studio recording. Check it out below and let us know your thoughts.
