Salute to J. Dilla. While Hip-Hop has long celebrated the late producer/MC as a treasure, he is now also being formally recognized as such on a national level by The Smithsonian Museum. Dilla’s beat equipment will be put on display at the Smithsonian’s new museum of African American History & Culture. Here’s a video where the announcement was made by reps from the Smithsonian. Congrats to Dilla, his family and Hip-Hop.
