2014 marks the 30th anniversary of Def Jam Recordings, the record company many would argue was the most important in cementing Hip-Hop’s legacy. Def Jam has been celebrating the landmark milestone throughout the year with re-releases, box sets and more. Today, they’ve announced they will be throwing a mega concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on October 16th. The event will feature a roster of artists that represents all eras of Def Jam, including EPMD, Method Man, Redman, Warren G, Foxy Brown, DMX, Ja Rule, Ashanti, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Fabolous and Jhené Aiko, with more to be announced over the next several weeks. Tickets to the event go on sale via Ticketmaster on 8/22.
