Saigon is Joined By the Legendary Big Daddy Kane on a DJ Premier Track (Audio)

Saigon’s GSN3: The Troubled Times Of Brian Carenard is two weeks away (September 30). However, the veteran New York MC unleashed one of the LP’s most anticipated tracks in “One Foot In The Door.”

On the DJ Premier-produced cut (the second Premo premier in less than 12 hours), the Yardfather breaks down his career, and how his outspoken industry commentary is amplified far more than his consciousness, good deeds, and soul. The song is set off with Jay Z, presumably 10 years ago, talking about the landscape of Hip-Hop hopefuls, including “the kid Saigon.”

A kid no more, Sai’Giddy trades verses with Big Daddy Kane, an artist who chose a message over hype, and made bold creative decisions sometimes at the cost of mainstream (and hardcore) approval. This is an ideal trio of talent, with strong roots to the old New York.
