Saturday Night Live now belongs to Prince. He took the SNL performance stage last night and held it hostage for 8+ minutes amidst a storm of unrelenting funk and rock. Accompanied by his group 3rdEyeGirl, Prince broke a 40-year SNL tradition by playing one monster set instead of two separate performances. The extended medley included “Clouds,” “Plectrum Electrum,” “Marz” and “Anotherlove.” This was the Purple One at his best and, when he’s in form, he is peerless. Check out the video.
