Over the last month and a half, Chicago MC Tink has been associated with Jay Z, Rick Ross, Andre 3000 and Timbaland…Not bad for an up and coming MC, right? But, don’t let the big names fool you. Tink is a talented MC and singer who stands out in her own right, so it was just a matter of time before others caught on. In her latest song, “Tell the Children,” she deftly addresses the violence plaguing her hometown, as well as the unrest in Ferguson and across the land. Complemented by a dark and brooding Timbaland beat, the song is a strong statement for Tink and in its own right.
