Bizzy Bone Is The Next Star Battle Rap Contestant

Battling, in the traditional, structured setting, has become popular for established, highly-prominent artists. Earlier this year, Def Squad’s Keith Murray was planned to battle ONYX’s Fredro Starr. BattleRap.com reports that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Bizzy Bone is slated to battle a yet-unnamed opponent. The battle is part of the pay-per-view December 6 Ether battle in Los Angeles, California. The event will also feature former J Records star Cassidy taking on high-profile contender Dizaster. Also involved is former Def Jam/Disturbing Tha Peace artist Serius Jones.

Per the report, the Columbus, Ohio MC, who released 1998 platinum solo debut Heaven’s Movie on Ruthless/Relativity Records, battled Jay Z in the early 1990s. Bizzy claimed he beat the Roc-A-Fella Records mogul for a $35 purse.

This summer, Bizzy released The Wonder Years on The Life Apparel’s imprint. In 2010, the veteran, often-estranged BTNH member, was said to have signed to Cash Money Records.
