Big Pun and J. Dilla share status as Hip-Hop icons. The two also have a significant date in common: February 7th is Dilla’s birthday and the day Pun passed away. One connection Pun and Dilla did not have was working on a record together. A few years ago, the production duo Cookin’ Soul put together a mixtape (in conjunction with 2DBZ) that blended the music music of J. Dilla with Pun’s vocals.
