He’s Back…Terminator Genisys is Coming Next Summer. Here’s the Trailer (Video)

Certain films have penetrated Hip-Hop on such a level that they have become part of the fabric. This is true of movies ranging from Good Fellas to Superfly to Five Deadly Venoms. Another such iconic film is The Terminator. From as far back as EPMD’s “You Gots to Chill” to as recent as Jon Connor, whose stage moniker is a reference to the original film’s savior of the world (just as he aspires to save Hip-Hop), references to the original film and its sequels abound. It’s been five years since the last installment of the Terminator series, but that’s about the change in a big way. The trailer for Terminator Genisys has been released and it looks like it is going to incorporate aspects of the mythology from several of the films’ key elements and characters (including Arnold Schwartzenegger). It hits theaters in the Summer of 2015. Take a look. What’s your favorite Terminator Hip-Hop reference?
