A.O.T.P. Meets D.I.T.C. As Apathy Announces Collaborative LP With O.C., Perestoika

Veteran Willimantic, Connecticut MC/producer has announced—via a new video—that he is planning three albums for 2015. A member of veteran charting act Army Of The Pharaohs, recent super-group Get Busy Committee, and founder of Demigodz, Apathy has stayed quite busy since his shelved tenure at Atlantic Records in the early-mid-2000s.

The year will begin with fifth solo affair Weekend At The Cape, and close with sixth LP, The Widow’s Son. These will serve as a follow-up to 2014’s Connecticut Casual, which featured rising digital star Chris Webby as well as production from Da Beatminerz. In addition to these releases though, Apathy announced Perestoika, an album with Brooklyn, New York MC O.C. O is a longtime member of Diggin’ In The Crates, and a veteran of releases for more than 20 years. In 2011, Apathy’s A.O.T.P. band-mate and Demigodz Records artist Celph Titled released an album with O.C.’s longtime producer, Buckwild, the critically-acclaimed Nineteen Ninety Now.

O.C. last released an acclaimed album of his own, 2012’s Trophies, alongside Detroit, Michigan producer Apollo Brown. While Apathy and Celph released 2006’s No Place Like Chrome, O has also worked in the format, namely 2009’s Oasis, with D.I.T.C. brethren A.G.

How’s this unique collabo sound in theory?
