CyHi The Prynce Says He Was Wrongfully Left Off Year-End Lists & Shows Out (Audio)

Although he is the fourth inclusion on Ambrosia For Heads’ Best Mixtapes Of 2014 list, CyHi The Prynce is feeling passed over in the year that was. Does he have a point though? Black Hystori was among the year’s strongest and most cerebral projects (albums and mixtapes combined). While it was executive produced by Kanye West, the thematic effort shunned the grandstanding that goes into so many tapes, and simply let the music serve its purpose. On top of that, CyHi’s videos and his freestyles were top-notch, making him the total package last year.

The G.O.O.D. Music artist isn’t satisfied with the results, especially when credit is going elsewhere.

“Credit ‘I’ Deserve” takes this notion on, with an upset, under-appreciated, and over-extended CyHi warning the industry that soon come, they’ll regret the day they passed him over. More than a rant, the track puts skills on display to show just how serious the craft has been.

Remember, pre-College Dropout, this is how Kanye West seemed to feel, as an MC and producer. Do you think this explains the bond? Does CyHi have a point, or is this just part of paying dues?
