DMX has announced he’s releasing his eighth studio album and it’s coming next week (January 13th). After starting off at a torrid pace, releasing his first three albums in three months, X’s output has slowed a bit over the years, with his last album, Undisputed, coming over two years ago.

The new album is titled Redemption of the Beast, a metaphor that might be quite fit for an MC who’s had his fair share of ups and downs. Similarly to Undisputed, the album will be released by Seven Arts Entertainment. With a recent standout cameo in Chris Rock’s Top Five film, X appears to be on the rise again.
