Funkmaster Flex Drops Some Nuclear Bombs on Jay Z. Says He Can Ruin Him (Audio)

Whoa. Funkmaster Flex fears no man. Last night, he went completely nuclear on Life + Times and, seemingly, its owner…Jay Z. Flex referenced several issues that had him upset. He felt disrespected by an interview of him by Life + Times a few years ago, ostensibly about his mobile app, but which did not publish anything he said about the app. Apparently, he was contacted again recently by Life + Times about his role in the Dipset reunion and it raised his ire, both because of his previous treatment by the web site but also because he claims he was prohibited from playing Dipset records at Jay Z’s 40/40 club.

In a near ten minute diatribe, Flex repeatedly calls Life + Times trash. He also goes directly seemingly at Jay Z (Flex never uses names), saying things like “Y’all can’t move with me in this digital space. Maybe if y’all copied everything I was doing with the app, that app would have did better. It wouldn’t have crashed when your album dropped.” He goes even further to say “Play me like I’m stupid? You’re going to see a different dude firing off on you…Don’t think I can’t ruin you. ‘Cause that’s a nice feather in my cap if I ruin you.”

Flex’s statement begins at the 10:30 mark.
