Shawn Setaro, former Editor-in-Chief of Rap Genius, has been opening up his vaults of classic interviews on his theciphershow.com site. One such gem is an amazing conversation with KRS-One. Kris breaks down the stories behind many of his most famous lyrics, and also provides colorful insights on never before discussed revelations such as the fact that his style on “The Bridge is Over” was actually MC Shan’s style…Many did not know that KRS was actually parodying Shan on the track and thus attributed the flow to the Kris, himself. This is 44 minutes of pure knowledge from one of Hip-Hop’s greatest teachers. Check it out.
