You know MC Lyte’s background as a legendary voice in Hip Hop, but she’s also been an avid proponent with mentoring and community activism for the youth as well. Where opportunities for youth to extend their education have been difficult, Lyte has used her Hip Hop Sisters Foundation to give scholarships to assist their forward movement in academics.
