Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson are back together again on screen in Fox’s new series, Empire, and the show looks to be a wild ride. The duo, who worked together in Hustle & Flow and co-hosted several Soul Train Awards, play an estranged couple waging war over control of a successful music company. It’s a family business, though, and has all the accompanying complexities. The show also features Malik Yoba (New York Undercover), Gabourey Sidibe (Precious, American Horror Story) and music by Timbaland.

Episode 1, which you can stream in entirety below, features visceral acting, raw dialogue and looks to push boundaries by addressing issues like homophobia in the music business head on. Only time will tell how it all unfolds, but the show is off to a good start. Check it out.
