What isn’t Bun B a novice expert on? The UGK co-founder and Trill O.G. loves sneakers, sports, street-wear, cars, music, and even film. In preparation for tomorrow’s 87th Academy Awards (February 22), the Bun Beata weighs in for The Fader on who he thinks will get Oscar gold.

Claiming that The Lego Movie‘s omission is a “travesty,” the Port Arthur, Texas MC (who was one of the first artists down with Birdman) champions Birdman‘s Michael Keaton, and is apparently quite a big Wes Anderson Head.

With some humor mixed in, this is quality edu-tainment from the Rice University professor who also wears a Rap-A-Lot Records chain.

And, on a more serious note, while in NYC, Professor Bun B also had an extended conversation on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning, with Rice’s Dr. Anthony Pinn, about their Hip-Hop & Religion course. The interview showcases a very different Bun B than may come across in his recordings, and lends credibility that he might, in fact, one day be a fine mayor for the city of Houston. Bun, Dr. Pinn, Ebro, Peter Rosenberg and Laura Styles discuss how Bun became affiliated with the course, the relationship between Hip-Hop and religion and more.
