In the post-Super Bowl XLIX fanfare, Jimmy Fallon hosted a special Sunday edition of “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.” With the special captive audience, and some carryover from the big weekend, Jimmy reverted to one of his nighttime talk show’s winningest formulas: show how well celebrities know the lyrics to songs.

Fallon invited fellow late ’90s “SNL” alum Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart to join him in their own world championship, as it were…of lip syncing. No surprise to anybody, the ensuing 14 minutes is quite hilarious. From the choice of songs (very 2012-2015 Pop/Top 40 including Katy Perry, John Legend, and Beyonce), to some accidentally-great choreography, to even better reaction shots from the waiting fellow contestants.

This is the anti-“American Idol” sort of competition, with three funny men, taking something so not serious, rather seriously. Oh, and there’s a nice Dirty Dancing tribute with none other than Jimmy’s Fever Pitch co-star, Drew Barrymore.
