The Blazers’ Damian Lillard is an All-Star on the Court & The Microphone. Watch Him RAP! (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Basketball and Hip-Hop have always had a strong connection, and since it’s NBA All-Star Weekend in New York City, the birthplace of Hip-Hop, what better time for a baller to showcase his MC skills? Two-time NBA All-Star and former Rookie Of The Year Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers recently stopped by the Sway In The Morning show. After Sway, Heather B and even Tracy G spit some off-the-top freestyles for fun, D-Lilly proceeds to blaze the mic over Jay-Z’s classic “Dead Presidents” instrumental…and he does it without a single curse.

After blowing everyone’s minds with his ability to spit, Sway goes on to give props to the hard-working people of Oakland, California, Lillard’s hometown. Damian especially represents the hard-workers of his city, as he has never missed an NBA game in his career so far, and has grinded his way into his second All-Star appearance in a row (after initially being snubbed from this year’s lineup).

Do you think Damian Lillard is the best rapper in the NBA right now?
