Listen to the Best Hip-Hop of February 2015 All in One Playlist (Audio)

The month of February had less days, but it was not short on good music. The tight four weeks brought new songs from Kendrick Lamar, Ghostface Killah, Scarface, Method Man, Redman, Talib Kweli, Logic, Big K.R.I.T., Slum Village, Rah Digga, Action Bronson, Kanye West, Cannibal Ox, Drake, GZA, Fashawn, Nas, Ab-Soul, Joell Ortiz, Big Sean, Styles P, Raekwon, Elzhi, Earl Sweatshirt, J-Live and many more.

The music ranged from party-starters to political statements and everything in between. Drake released a surprise mixtape which sold nearly 500,000 units…in just over 3 days. There were bodies of work from promising new stars like ELHAE and highly anticipated returns from veterans like Cannibal Ox who had been away for far too long. DJ EFN put together diverse groupings of all-stars and made them sound like they’d worked together for years, and BADBADNOTGOOD provided a lush Soul soundtrack that brought out the best in Ghostface. And, of course, J. Dilla’s spirit loomed throughout.

All in all, it was one of the most diverse musical months in quite some time. Catch anything you missed or revisit your favorites in the playlist below.
