Several of the best freestyles of the past year have come courtesy of Logic. He’s ripped mics for Sway, LA Leakers and even the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher. Part of what makes his verses so special is his seamless ability to flip from written to “off the top” rhymes.

In his return to Tim Westwood’s show in the UK, Logic supplies nearly three minutes of blistering lyricism over Method Man’s classic, “Bring the Pain.” As soon as Logic hears the beat cued up, he sets the tone for what’s about to come, saying “Aww man. I’m gonna ___ this up. Here we go!” Check it out.
