In addition to his many solo albums, Murs has released several noteworthy collaborative projects over the years. He’s worked with 9th Wonder, Terrace Martin, Fashawn and, more recently, ¡Mayday!. However, one of his most frequent collaborators is Atmosphere’s Slug. Together, Murs and Slug form Felt, and they’ve three albums with Felt: A Tribute to Christina Ricci (2002), Felt, Vol. 2: A Tribute to Lisa Bonet (2005) and Felt 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez (2009).

So, it’s no surprise that even in his latest solo effort, Murs would enlist Slug’s services on Murs’ latest single from the forthcoming album, Have a Nice Life. CES Cru, Murs’ Strange Music label mates, also join in on the “Fun-eral.” The song employs ample scratches from past Felt releases, coupled with Murs, Slug and CES’ confident claims that, when it comes to dope rhymes, they wrote the book.

Do you think if Murs and Slug were to release an album today, it would be titled Felt 3: A Tribute to Scarlett Johansson?
