Diamond District is a heralded group with two celebrated studio albums, and a remix effort that excites as much as any in the last few calendars. However, outside the group, Oddisee, X.O., and yU beautifully exercise their individually. For the last of the three, yU, he regularly channels a Spoken Word and modern Bee-Bop style, heard on his great albums over the years.

“Far” is a 1978ers cut, teaming yU and Slimkat. For the visual, it’s in the stars as the tandem waxes about their purpose, their journey, and the over-arching message to their music.
