When it comes to conducting interviews, Nardwuar is a crate-digger, literally and figuratively. When he got his shot to interview Public Enemy’s Chuck D, courtesy of Brother Ali and Z-Trip, the Canadian journalist took full advantage.

As is often the case with Nardwuar interviews, he drove the discussion by going into his bag of tricks and pulling out several records that have been influential to Chuck and Public Enemy over the years. Mr. D. was forthcoming and informative in his responses, which turned into a history lesson on the cultural references that informed him personally and professionally. Check out the video.
