G-Unit has been quite active throughout the last month. With their second EP, The Beast Is G-Unit and a number of freestyles from Kidd Kidd during his promotion for XXL‘s 10th spot in the 2015 Freshmen class, the Unit has been hard at work.

While Tony Yayo recorded his own freestyle over a Eric B. & Rakim instrumental, followed by a Main Source classic, it’s Lloyd Banks’ turn to tackle a throwback instrumental. The Southside, Queens rapper released a freestyle over Black Moon’s Beatminerz-produced “How Many MC’s” instrumental. In interviews and in solo moments, Lambo Lloyd has been quieter than his band-mates lately. Hopefully, this commanding return signals more to come, as the onetime Interscope Records solo star has always been an intersection of lyricism and mainstream commercialism:
