Fashawn has had a banner year. In February, the Fresno, CA MC returned after a nearly 6-year hiatus from solo studio albums to release his first LP as part of Nas’ Mass Appeal Records. The Ecology is a diverse offering that ranges from Cali anthems like “Golden State of Mind,” featuring Dom Kennedy, to touching songs about fatherhood. Of course, there are some party-starters, as well.

One of the most upbeat tracks on the album is “Out the Trunk.” While the song credits Busta Rhymes as a featured artist, his participation comes by way of a sample of him from “Get You Some” on “Out the Trunk’s” bombastic hook. Now, Fashawn updates the track to include the Dungeon Dragon, himself, with a typically adrenaline-fueled guest verse. Check it out the “Out the Trunk (Remix).”
