The month of April 2015 in Hip-Hop brought some welcomed surprises. A slew of artists released high quality freestyles over classic 90s beats, including Fabolous, Jadakiss, Styles P and Lloyd Banks, to name a few. Raekwon laid the groundwork for his F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art) album, with releases featuring Snoop Dogg and A$AP Rocky. Erick Sermon made his triumphant return alongside Sheek Louch and Joell Ortiz. ONYX resurfaced with some music for our turbulent times. And, Eminem dropped two blockbuster verses accompanying Yelawolf and Tech N9ne.

Artists like Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane and Nas, made rare guest appearances on records by Dynas, Agallah and De La Soul, respectively. Also, Rapsody, Vic Mensa, Your Old Droog, Oddisee and Crooked I returned with new material…and, it would not be a month in Hip-Hop without new music from Curren$y.

Check out all that and much more in this Best Hip-Hop of April 2015 playlist.
