Currently on the road for his Growing Process Tour, Dizzy Wright is steadily accumulating a national following, thanks complex artistry such as his new album. The tour is simultaneously promoting Wright’s latest album and the work of Demrick and DJ Hoppa, an MC/producer duo with ties to Wright’s past work.

Demrick (f/k/a Young De), while best known for his work alongside major artists like B-Real of Cypress Hill, Too Short, and Xzibit, is continuing to establish himself as a stand-alone artist with a knack for curating dope musical friendships. His forthcoming Stoney Point LP is a collaboration project with DJ Hoppa, a fellow Funk Volume signee who has produced for Wright (on his The Golden Age, The First Agreement, and Smokeout Conversation releases) and Jarren Benton (on My Grandma’s Basement), most notably.

The three have joined forces on “Clouds Above Us,” a verse-driven joint that showcases both Demrick and Wright’s lyrical abilities along with Hoppa’s skills as a beat-maker. Check out the song here:
