Much has been made of the unfortunate events that took place outside Met Life Stadium last night during Hot 97’s 2015 Summer Jam, but inside, there was a raucous party led by Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Fabolous, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Chris Brown, Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, Mobb Deep, The LOX and many more. The show, which was sponsored by Pepsi, CÎROC, McDonald’s, Nutrament, MetroPlus Health Plan, HER Imports, and NJ Lottery Cash 4 Life, proved to be one of the hottest tickets of the year, and for good reason.

Despite a lockdown of the stadium that resulted in several fans being turned away, Kendrick Lamar took the stage at a little after 9pm and ripped through a set that included old and new favorites. He launched into “Swimming Pools,” “King Kunta,” “Backseat Freestyle” and much more. He also brought out fellow TDE member, ScHoolboy Q, who performed his singles “Collard Greens” and “Studio.”

Earlier in the evening, Fabolous, who had been billed as “Fabolous & Friends,” brought out an unbelievable amount of guests. He was joined onstage by Fat Joe and Remy Ma who ripped through “Lean Back,” Lil Kim & The LOX who performed “Money, Power & Respect,” Mobb Deep, who did “Quiet Storm” with Kim and more. It was like a live mega playlist of hits from some of Hip-Hop’s finest.
