Lil Dicky is a funny MC. He smiles, cracks jokes and has a good time with his rapping. But, when it’s about those bars, he is deadly serious. Many first saw Dicky in his hilarious video for “Ex-Boyfriend,” a song where he comically vents about the insecurities he as about his girlfriend’s former lover. The visual went viral, culling more than a million views in the first day. Since then, Dicky has used humor and skillful rhymes to win over more and more fans. However, when it comes to freestyles, the rapper born David Burd tends to tone down the jokes and turn up the lyrics.

Last year, he flipped one of the best verses on BET’s Backroom series. For any who thought that was a fluke, he recently stopped by the Sway in the Morning show. Sway acknowledges that the videos are cool but says “it doesn’t matter unless you can spit BARS.” Dicky accepts the challenge and proceeds to kick a vicious rhyme over Young Thug’s “Check.” No topic is safe…even Michelle Obama.
