Earlier this month, CZARFACE released their sophomore album, Every Hero Needs A Villain. The sophomore outing from Inspectah Deck, Esoteric, and 7L features a smorgasbord of sharp lyrics, dense with wordplay, and chopped down samples.

While the guests are exciting (Juju, Large Professor, R.A. The Rugged Man), GZA is at the top of the list. The Genius joins Rebel I.N.S. and company for a song (“When Gods Go Mad”) that is incredibly dynamic. Deck kicks things off with a pumped-up verse, as Eso’ enters with the clever wordplay. GZA blesses the moment, with his own beat-break, and sounds as sharp lyrically, as he has in the last five years. Savor the moment, and make sure you’re giving the Brick Records release its due.
