Royce Da 5’9″ Says It So It’s Crystal Clear: Soft Artists Are Winning In 2015 (Audio)

This year, we’ve got the softest group of artists in the history of Blues, R&B, Soul / For y’all to be so willing to be so blast-off honest / Black Pride, I’m astonished / I’m a full-contact guy, in a flag-ball climate…

Royce Da 5’9″ is not mincing words in his Lucky 7 (July 7) appearance for Statik Selektah. The former Bar Exam partners have a pedigree of great music together, revive the chemistry. “Crystal Clear” has the Nickel Nine stream of consciousness, heard in those early 12″ days. He talks sobriety (and his inability to recall some of the older drunkenness), attraction, and being sick of hearing the “underrated” label. Late in the song (indicative above), the Bad Meets Evil/PRhyme MC really starts opining on what he doesn’t care for about 2015.

Do you agree with Royce? Should peers be offended?
