Kxng Crooked & Statik Selektah Serve Up That Good Food For The Soul (Audio)

Ever have someone say you wouldn’t accomplish something? Kxng Crooked did, and boy were they wrong. The sometimes Slaughterhouse member (formerly known as Crooked I) links with Statik Selektah on “Dead Or In Jail” with a message to all those who said that’s where he would be when he got older. Not only is he alive and free, he’s thriving.

Statik Selektah provides a typical soulful background, while Crooked dices up that track like he still has something to prove to all his doubters. The production is reminiscent of acts like Jurassic 5, The Pharcyde, De La Soul, Digable Planets, Hieroglyphics and A Tribe Called Quest, all of whom Crook shouts out. Take a listen for some audible inspiration.
