Wu-Tang Clan & Bill Murray Are Stealing Once Upon A Time In Shaolin From Martin Shkreli (Video)

One of the most bizarre Hip-Hop stories in 2015, or any other year, has centered around the Wu-Tang Clan’s infamous and mysterious album, Once Upon A Time In Shaolin. The album’s existence was first reported in March 2014, when it was revealed that the group would only be selling one copy of the LP to the highest bidder. The news sent shockwaves through the Hip-Hop community, and even caused some consternation within the group. After rumors surfaced that the album had sold for as much as $5 million dollars, it was not until earlier this month that real details about the transaction and the album’s buyer came to light. Perhaps the zaniest detail to be revealed was an alleged clause in the contract that allows members of Wu-Tang Clan and/or Bill Murray to steal the album back from its owner.

A few weeks ago, it was confirmed that the controversial pharmaceutical mogul, Martin Shkreli, had purchased Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, for a reported $2 million. Shkreli was no stranger to headlines due to his purchase of a vital HIV treatment medication for which he subsequently raised the price from $13.50 a pill to $750 per pill. As a result of Shkreli’s business practices, which many believe to be unsavory and immoral, Wu-Tang leader RZA began distancing himself from the purchaser, saying to Bloomberg, “The sale of Once Upon A Time in Shaolin was agreed upon in May, well before Martin Skhreli’s [sic] business practices came to light. We decided to give a significant portion of the proceeds to charity.” Shkreli took offense at RZA’s words, telling Hip-Hop DX “I bought the most expensive album in the history of mankind and fucking RZA is talking shit behind my back and online in plain sight.” He even issued a threat to RZA, saying “I’d encourage him to shut the fuck up before he goes a little too far.”

Just as it seemed things could not get more bizarre, literally 24 hours after Shkreli’s remarks about RZA were publicized, Shkreli was arrested on charges of securities fraud. Even though his alleged crimes were not related to the Wu-Tang album purchase, there is a possibility that it may be seized as part of a larger confiscation of Shkreli’s assets in connection with his charges.

Now that Skreli is in custody, Wu-Tang Clan and Bill Murray have the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the clause in the agreement which allows them to steal the album back from Shkreli. In a hilarious animated video from ProbCause TV, they show exactly how the plan unfolds, and it is absolutely genius. Take a look.
