Almost 20 years ago, 45 King (and Kid Capri) gave Jay Z one of the biggest anthems of his career with “Hard Knock Life.” Before the vocal sample trend would define the early 2000s, the original Flavor Unit founder returned to form by letting the cast of Annie chronicle life in the Marcy Projects on a booming track.

In the years since, the New Jersey native producer has worked with Eminem, Peanutbutter Wolf, and more. Thanks to K-Def’s Redefinition Records, the iconic DJ/producer links with Blu. For fans of the vocal sample chorus, “Pocket Full Of Miracles” shines. Blu uses his verses to celebrate linking with 45 King on a track different than his his usual catalog.

This is also available on a limited edition 7″ vinyl.

Props to ego trip! for putting this up first.
