Although he has stayed active on the performance circuit, DJ Shadow has not released an album in nearly 5 years. The producer and sampling innovator is readying a new project titled The Mountain Will Fall, which will be available on June 24. After releasing the instrumental title track, Shadow follows up with, “Nobody Speak,” a slinky groove driven by a guitar sample and vocals from none other than Run The Jewels.

In speaking about the track to Rolling Stone, Shadow said of Killer Mike and El-P “Occasionally, I make a beat that demands a specific vocal treatment and attitude. In the case of ‘Nobody Speak,’ I wasn’t going to settle for anyone other than Run the Jewels; in my mind, it was them or no one. Fortunately, they agreed, and they took the track to a place I could never get to on my own.” In listening to the production, it does indeed sound custom made for Mike and El, and they settle into the groove, accordingly.
