Kanye West no longer does anything on a small scale. Last night, the mercurial artist held a live streaming party, at The Forum in Los Angeles, for his new video “Famous” from his album, The Life Of Pablo.

As has been the case with much of his material since the launch of the music service in which he is a stakeholder with Jay Z, Kanye premiered the video through TIDAL. The striking visual was inspired by a painting by artist Vincent Desiderio, which features several people lying next to one another naked in an extended bed. Kanye flips the concept by inserting himself and his wife Kim Kardashian into the middle of the composition, and surrounding themselves with some of the world’s (other) most famous and controversial figures.

Their bed mates include Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Caitlyn Jenner, Amber Rose, Anna Wintour, Ray J, Bill Cosby, Donald Trump, and George Bush, many of whom are directly connected to West and/or Kardashian, or each other. Ray J who co-starred with Kim in one of the most famous sex tapes of all-time is positioned right next to her. Swift, who Kanye infamously accosted at the 2009 VMAs, causing a seismic downfall, is by West’s side. Rihanna and Chris Brown, who became indelibly linked after Brown physically assaulted her, are side by side. It is clear that the vast majority of the people in the bed are either wax figures or lookalikes, but the resemblances are stunning, and, given some of the relationships (e.g., Caitlyn and Rihanna), there is the possibility that more than just Kim and Kanye are the real deal.

For his part, Kanye is being coy about the details. He did reveal to Vanity Fair, however that the video took 3 months to make and required several iterations. He also said of the visual “It’s not in support or anti any of [the people in the video]. It’s a comment on fame.”

West also revealed that when he showed the video to famous friends who were not included, their response was “they want to be in the bed…” And, in case it’s not clear, the video is NSFW.
