This Is NOT Supposed to Be Drake Dissing Joe Budden. What Do You Think? (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

The biggest Rap beef of 2016 has been fairly one-sided to date. Joe Budden has launched a handful of attacks in onetime friend Drake’s direction, due to a diss he believed was coming his way from Drake on French Montana’s song “No Shopping.” The entire feud has been recounted several times, but, for a recap, click here. Earlier this month, French released the record in question, but soon thereafter, he  denied Drake’s verse was even about Budden, despite a number of lyrics that seemingly referenced Joe’s song and the women they may have shared…

The Plot Thickens In the Joe Budden/Drake Beef. Did Drake Even Respond?

In any event, “No Shopping” gets a music video treatment. In a golf-themed music video, the stars of OVO and Coke Boyz are laughing it up—but apparently not at J.B.’s expense. The lyrics aren’t changed, but Joe is far from a target in the Bad Boy Worldwide visual.

As Joe recently stated (to ESPN’s Cari Champion) that Drake did respond, privately via Instagram, to the disses—questions arise as to how tongue-in-cheek this song is, and if more conflict music is going to come. For now, Heads can acknowledge that Drake and French’s bond has never appeared stronger, even as Drizzy also appeared to take some shots at Puff Daddy.

The long, hot summer continues to creep to a boil. Is this beef a mirage, or just some fastballs for rappers crowding the plate in a friendly game of baseball?
