In the beginning of March, Fat Joe and Remy Ma released “All The Way Up.” The song was the first single from Joe and Remy’s upcoming join album, Plata O Plomo, and featured ad libs from French Montana and production from Cool & Dre. As nearly anyone with ears knows, the song would become one of the biggest records of the year, spawning several official remixes and countless unsanctioned ones. Now, The Terror Squad collaborators re-team with French, Cool and Dre for “Cookin’,” and it’s another sizzler.

There are a number of elements about the track that are similar to “All The Way Up.” Both tracks kick off with epic horns, French opens each one with ad libs but does not have a full verse, and, after the beat drops, Cool & Dre pull it back to let Joe and Remy flex over minimalist breakdowns, before building it back up to its full bombast. Each also rhymes just behind the beat on both songs.

Most importantly, “Cookin'” is a banger that’s likely to guarantee Joe and Remy several more months of dominating clubs, cars and air waves.
