The label, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, is the home to such artists as MF DOOM, Aloe Blacc, Dam Funk, J Rocc, Oh No and, of course, label founder, Peanut Butter Wolf. The record company also distributed some of the most celebrated works from J Dilla and Madlib, including their vaunted collaboration, Champion Sound, as Jaylib.

Beginning in January 2017, Stones Throw will offer a one-year subscription where subscribers will receive every Stones Throw vinyl release between January 1 and December 31. The first release of 2017 will be Madlib & J Dilla’s Jaylib Remixes, for the first time ever on vinyl. To kick things off, Stones Throw has made available a previously unreleased Jaylib record from 2002, titled “Da Rawkus.”

The song was recorded in both Los Angeles and Detroit, and features both MC/producers on the vocals, with Jay Dee holding down the verses and Madlib taking on the hook.
