Pusha T Salutes Kanye West. He Suggests Their Paths Twist Back To Musical Paradise

The last five days have been challenging for Kanye West. The superstar entertainer went from one of the biggest creators in 2016, to abruptly canceling his tour (following controversial remarks), and in a matter of hours—entering the hospital. G.O.O.D. Music President Pusha T used today (the same 24 hours that saw Kanye reportedly admitted to a medical facility in restraints) to flash back to the genesis of their current relationship.

Today (November 22) marks six years since West released My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The LP was a return to Rap, following the polarizing 2008 Auto-Tune homage, 808’s & Heartbreak. Additionally, West teamed with Push’, as well as Raekwon, Nicki Minaj, Jay Z, and Rick Ross for a game-changing #1 album that is a keystone in his discography.

The Clipse and Re-Up Gang co-founder used the anniversary to thank ‘Ye for the opportunity. On Instagram, the Virginia Beach lyricist recalled rising to the occasion on the LP, for what would eventually pivot to a solo career.

Pusha would be featured on album single “Runaway,” as well as “So Appalled.” The MC recalls six additional recordings he made during the sessions, which took place in Hawaii. Push’ urged his partner to join him in going back to that state “whenever you ready.”

For an album that involved Jay, RZA, Rae’, Pete Rock, Cudi, CyHi The Prynce, among others, many Heads would like to see Mr. West return to that space—personally and creatively.
