It’s Never Lights Out For Redman. He Drops His 4th Verse In A Week (Audio)

Redman has released four songs in less than a week. However, nobody is complaining one bit. The Def Squad and Gilla House MC is in strong form lately, gearing up for a 2017 that hopes to see Muddy Waters 2 and Blackout! 3 (with Method Man). The fourth such song comes out in support of another MC who cut his teeth during the 1990s Rap run. In the last seven days, he joined Method Man, Jadakiss, and a brief appearance from Busta Rhymes on Juelz Santana’s comeback single “Ol’ Thing Back.” Then, the same 24 hours, Red & Meth united for support of Masta Killa’s “Therapy” single. If that were not enough, Funk Doc finished off last week keeping it Gilla House. The Brick City O.G. produced the track, and dropped a verse for his man Runt Dawg.

D.V. Alias Khryst may not be a household name. However, the Brooklyn, New York veteran made some powerful ensemble impact on songs like De La Soul’s “Thru Ya City,” Lyricist Lounge, Vol. 1, and Non-Phixion’s “5 Boros.” Khryst was one of Hip-Hop’s early hardcore spitters that was never above showing off his vocal range, by singing some melody on tracks. Rugged and smooth at once, this former Def Jam Records hopeful never got his due, even while Heads know his capability. He is still at it, and recently released single “Lights Out.”

J57 of the Brown Bag AllStars and G Koop teamed to remix the DGSUP/Soulspazm Records track. With it, Redman came out with a 40 second verse that takes the song to a whole other level.

D.V. blends his hardcore rhymes with his melodic delivery. At 1:20, Redman comes in with slick metaphors, and a confident slow flow. In the guest verse, Redman explains why he avoids conflict, and never lost his charms.
