Chris Rivers is one of the busiest MCs in Hip-Hop. While the Bronx, New Yorker continues to win over a litany of listeners while flexing a lot of his late father’s (Big Pun) attributes, his output is staggering. In late 2016, he joined a respected a cast of MCs (Method Man, O.C., Ghostface Killah, Ras Kass) on Snowgoons’ Goon Rap album.

Rivers’ song, “Keep Runnin'” is an homage to the mentality that made him an independent star. Rivers recalls his hard youth, losing his dad at a young age, overcoming poverty, and never stopping to feel sorry for himself. Rivers appears in the video, commanding his verse. Meanwhile, additional footage (the first of several parts) was captured in the ‘Goons’ native Germany. They supply the charged beat, which features a smooth vocal chop, and grabbing chord progressions.
