Late last year, Rick Ross released “Buy Back The Block,” a thunderous street anthem about MCs from the hood looking to re-invest in the communities that raised them. The original song featured 2 Chainz and Gucci Mane, alongside the MMG leader.

Now, Ross has released the “Refinance” version of the song, a remix featuring E-40, Fat Joe, Slim Thug and Nipsey Hussle. Ross also contributes a new verse. Like the original, the record is all about taking back control of the hood, through financial means, halting gentrification and beautifying the environment for those who have lived there for decades. Lines like “Used to sell bricks, now we selling brick homes,” capture the essence.

The song follows Ross’ announcement in mid-February that his ninth album, Rather You Than Me, and his first on Epic Records, will be released on March 17.
