Last March, DJ/producer Seanh made one unlikely pairing that sounded sweet to so many music Heads. Sadevillain blended MF DOOM (care of Madvillain) with Sade, bringing the soaring voice of the “No Ordinary Love” songstress to the nimble rhymes of the “Dead Bent” MC/producer.

As the modern proverb suggests: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Thus, Seanh returns with Sadevillain 2. This nine-track, 22 minute installment features added verses from Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def), Raekwon, and the late Sean Price, and more. Notably, DOOM, Sade, and Seanh all have ties to Britain.

“Operation Lifesaver,” “America’s Most Blunted” and “Great Day” (all from the Madvillainy project with Madlib) intersect with songs like “The Moon And The Sky,” and some of Sade’s more mellow, jazzier numbers throughout her catalog. There is some interview footage mixed in as well.
