DOOM & Sade Get Mashed Up On SADEVILLAIN (Full EP Stream)

DOOM and Sade have had a sonic affair for years. The masked villain tapped into the sweet sounds of the British Chanteuse on his song “Doomsday,” from Operation: DOOMSDAY, as well as on “Kon Karne” from MM…Food? Producer Seanh2k11 picked up on the chemistry between the two and ran with it to create a full EP.

SADEVILLIAN is a 7-song project that seamlessly blends Sade’s smooth vocals and beats with DOOM’s verses. Opener “Silver Spoon” mashes up Sade’s “Jezebel” with DOOM’s “My Favorite Ladies.” “Hot Pants” takes DOOM’s verse from Jonathan Toth’s “Ghostwhirl (Remix)” and meshes it with Sade’s “Your Love Is King.” “Hold On Vaughn” expertly mixes the sultry “Nothing Can Come Between Us” with “Raedawn,” which DOOM recorded under his alias “Viktor Vaughn.”

As with the best of these types of projects, such as the A Tribe Called Quest X The Pharcyde’s Bizarre Tribe and The Clipse X The Doors’ Keys Open Doors, none of these productions feel forced. Instead, they flow together naturally, as if they were meant to be together.
