There have bend some incredible blend mixtapes over the years from Danger Mouse’s Grey Album fusing Jay Z’s verses with Beatles music to the Keys Open Doors project which mixed The Clipse with The Doors. Here’s another project that was brought to our attention by @djskinnykitchen. Journey with Nas, released earlier this year and produced by Team Demo, marries Nas verses with music from the band Journey (yep…Don’t Stop Believin’) that has been chopped, looped and otherwise altered to create tracks perfectly customized to Nas’ vocals. The result is pretty mind-blowing. Check out the stream and download below.
