Ice Cube Says He’s A Top 3 MC, In His First Solo Song In Years (Audio)

As Ice Cube’s BIG3 Basketball season starts in less than a month, the veteran MC is driving the lane with 2017 music too. Cube has been planning to re-release 1991’s Death Certificate with several new songs attached. That’s reportedly arriving June 9, but today (June 1), Heads get their first taste of the new music Cube felt worthy of inclusion.

“Only One Me” examines a lot of what Ice Cube accomplished in his legendary Rap career, before and after his classic ’91 sophomore solo set. The beat mirrors a march as Cube flexes muscle on the track. Rappers may be compared to others, but even after more than 30 years of dropping music, there is very clearly just one Cube.
