Dillon Has A Feast Over Diamond D’s Serving Of Fresh Beats (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home, but we need your help to make it great. Please subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Diamond D is currently doing concerts with Sadat X in support of Stunts, Blunts and Hip Hop’s recent 25th anniversary. In the meantime, the Bronx, New Yorker and founding member of Diggin’ In The Crates is still supplying heat for up-and-coming talent. D was there early for producing Fat Joe, Lord Finesse, Mos Def, and others.

Enter Dillon, a Michigan-born Atlanta, Georgia-based MC (where Diamond also spends a bulk of his time). He and the Grammy Award-winning producer recently released EP, FP009 – Black Tie Affair. Diamond cooks up all the tracks. Dillon raps and jumps behind the decks for the five-song project’s scratches too.

“Feast” is a great sampling of the EP. Diamond D lays down a simplistic, but full-on Diggin’ In The Crates-certified beat. The BX O.G. supports Dillon and appears in the video that further plays off an MC for the people living his best life in high society. James Bond flicks may also be an inspiration to the life of well-dressed leisure.

About Ready Or Not: “Ready Or Not” is Ambrosia For Heads’ platform for showcasing new videos and having you, the people, decide whether they are ready for primetime. Each week, AFH will showcase music from artists on the verge, looking for their seat at the table among Hip-Hop’s elite.
