Which One Of These Hip-Hop Groups Deserves A Spot To Compete For Greatest Of All-Time?

“Finding the GOAT Group,” the fourth installment of Ambrosia For Heads’s annual competition series features Hip-Hop’s greatest groups vying for the #1 spot. Sixty-two groups have been pre-selected by a panel of experts, competing to advance to the Top 32, and one slot will be reserved for a wild-card entry, including the possibility for write-in candidates, to ensure no deserving band of MCs and DJs is neglected. The 2018 contest consists of seven rounds, NCAA basketball-tournament style, leading to a Top 32, then the Sweet 16 and so on, until one winner is determined. For each match-up, two groups are pitted against one another with a ballot to decide which one advances to the next round. Though there will be an enormous amount of debate in comments, on social media, in barbershops and text messages, which we encourage, only votes cast in the official ballot (below) count.

Aside from one active ballot too close to call, Round 1 voting is complete with its winners determined. Now is the chance for fans to nominate a group that deserves to be in the bracket but was omitted. We have amassed Wild Card choices, apart from the 62 selected by our staff. These are groups that are all deserving of consideration, but which were not selected for the first round. This also involves the squads that AFH readers told us were wrongfully excluded. We have compiled these choices, along with the option to write-in additional choices. The winner of this poll heads to Round 2, so make your voice heard.

For ease of reference, we have included a list of the 62 groups that were considered in Round 1. Please do not write these groups in, as they have already had their chance to advance to the next round. The Final 32 will be announced next week, after the Wild Card voting has concluded.
